Thus spake Incoherence

I long for a day
When I’ll be content
I long for a day
When happiness will be an achieved intent
I long for a day
When there’ll be no anger to vent
I long for a day
When I’ll do for what I’m meant.

You shall grow
And so shall your longings
‘Cos for all that you’re worth
You’ll just gather belongings

What I see in you
Is what I see in me
In this sea of you and me
We make this life into a mockery

Here, there’s you and here’s your today’s life
But all you have to offer are longings rife
Oh let this moment pass, sure, you’ve sorrows to cope
We’ll just hang your today’s life to your bagpipe of constant hope

I’m not going to waste my words or my time
You keep on doing what for you is prime

You'll keep on longing for that momentous day
For as long as you may
Cos whatever I say or do
Till you sing your life’s song
All that you’re gonna do
Is long and long and long…

There was a time when I sang 'A-E-I-O-U'
That time’s long gone; to it, I’ve bid adieu
And all this time, I just kept on juggling,
Sometimes I was I, sometimes I was You.

Such is the state of affairs, the wordplay and the world play
That, to begin with, there was a clear 'I' & a precise 'You'
Now I live in a time, when I don't know,
What am I and what are You?
